Ponniyin Selvan -II Movie Review
Ponniyin Selvan and I: II are epic historical action adventure films in Tamil that are directed by Mani Ratnam and co-written by Elango Kumaravel and B. Jeyamohan. They are the film adaptations of Ponniyin Selvan, a novel written in 1955 by Kalki Krishnamurthy and produced by Ratnam and Subaskaran Allirajah for Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions.

Ponniyin Selvan: I was released in theatres worldwide on 30 September 2022 and Ponniyin Selvan: II is released today in theatres on 28 April 2023.

The movie came out in the middle of 2022. It was created by Manirathnam, a seasoned director of Tamil films. Then again, A.R. Rahman created music for this film. So it has given a clear line of sight and sound treat to the general crowd.

In particular, the entire population of Tamilnadu was anticipating a black-themed smash hit from the Tamil film industry at this time. Since in this timeframe, our sibling states were given some skillet India films. Take, for instance, the RRR and KGF-2 films. Consequently, we were hanging tight for a decent film. The expectations of the Tamil audience have been met by this film.

The plot of this movie is adapted from Kalki's well-known Tamil novel Ponniyin Selvan, which was published in 1960 or so. Numerous famous actors attempt to make this novel into a movie because it was a well-known book in south India. However, it has only been possible this year after nearly three generations.

This film is being spoken one of the popular South Indian lord "Rajaraja Cholan", who constructed the well known "Enormous Sanctuary" in Tanjore. The main idea of the movie is that Adithya Karikalan, Chola's older brother, killed Pandian, his rival king. So the adversaries killed back Karikalan and wanted to grab the generally Chola organization. The hero Rajaraja Cholan protected his territory administration and exacted vengeance on the adversaries.

 PS-1

Extraordinary Indian entertainers were working in this film. Rai Aishwarya. She fit the personality of the enemy queen perfectly. She had shown well that retaliation response all over all through the film. Next, Vikram took on the role of Adithya Karikalan, a vengeful prince who was deeply in love with Aishwarya Rai. Among the others, this one is my favorite. The lead role was played by actor Jayaram, and the movie also starred nearly 30 well-known Tamil actors.

Ponniyin Selvan -II Movie Review
Every aspect of this film, including dance, costumes, lighting, editing, camera, and so on—renowned technicians worked on it—was outstanding. The costumes, which I had never seen before in Tamil cinema, stood out to me as one of this film's special features. They appeared to be real. In addition, the queen and princess in this film wear original gold jewelry. In this movie, the cameraman used the shaking technique, which I liked, even though some people don't like it. The CG transported us to a bygone era; I adore the grey overlay that appears frequently on the screen. The choreographer tried out drama-type dance, which was unusual. As a result, it has been successful.

AR has done fantastic work with music. This single individual plays had an enormous impact through his music against what we saw on the screen like exchange, dance, ensembles, etc. He has played his musical instruments on every screen in this movie. I think of this movie as a beautiful statue that AR gave life to and made into a real person with his music.

One Word Review            Satisfying

Quick Review

The movie "Ponniyin Selvan" has received a lot of praise for its stunning visuals, stellar performances, and faithful adaptation of the book. However, as with any adaptation, some modifications must be made, and the movie may not have included all of the book's scenes.

Ponniyin Selvan -II Movie Review
While it's justifiable to have a disheartened outlook on passing up specific scenes, it's vital to remember that adjusting an intricate novel into a film is a difficult undertaking, and a few changes are important to make a firm true to life experience. Having said that, the movie version of "Ponniyin Selvan" still does a fantastic job of capturing the essence of the book and bringing its characters and locations to life on screen.

Overall, "Ponniyin Selvan" is definitely worth reading if you like historical fiction or Tamil literature. The movie provides a rich and captivating experience that is certain to leave an impression, regardless of whether you are new to the story or have read the book. While it may exclude each scene from the book, the film is as yet a dependable variation that catches the soul and fervor of Kalki Krishnamurthy's unique book.

Ponniyin Selvan -II Movie Review

The film is certainly splendid and shows the endeavors put it by everybody in front and behind the camera. The actors did a good job playing the parts they were given, and Aishwarya Rai and Vikram deserve special mention for their amazing performances.

The cast, particularly Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karti, Aishwarya Rai, and Trisha, performed flawlessly. It was well worth it for the characters, storyline, visuals, dialogue, and screenplay. A.R. Rahman's mesmerizing music and background music transport us to the Cholars' era.

Ponniyin Selvan -II Movie Review

Despite the war scenes at the end, Ponniyin Selvan's core is the drama and interpersonal dynamics between its main characters. Kalki has packed a lot of twists into his book, some of which might be hard to understand for someone who doesn't know much about the PS universe or the family tree. However, Mani Ratnam's film adaptation is good to watch.

Agent Elvis 2023

Agent Elvis 2023      #Netflix Show Review   One Word Review                     Skippable show. Quick Review This program is not at all funny. I listened to the first and a half episodes mostly silent. Is Elvis a spies? I tried to like it despite its absurdity. To be honest, it's not funny at all. The jokes are level, and the odd antics that result are forgettable. I had to disable it. The entire situation recently got irritating. Like the high school student who tries to be funny too hard. I do not endorse this show. Better to watch something like Rick and Morty. Great soundtrack however assuming that you like Elvis. Excellent animation. Character improvement is inadequate. What is the purpose of Agent Elvis' monkey? The chimpanzee was ridiculous and annoying, and it was neither funny nor entertaining. The plot lacks coherence. I Had a ton of expectation for Specialist Ruler, I mean Elvis, as I've been ...

Ryan Ridley wrote the script, which was based on a story by Robert Kirkman (who also co-produced the movie). Highlighting characters from the 1897 novel Dracula by Bram Stoker, the film stars Nicholas Hoult as the title character and Nicolas Enclosure as Dracula, with Awkwafina, Ben Schwartz, Adrian Martinez, and Shohreh Aghdashloo in supporting roles.  One Word Review       One Time Watchable Quick Review Nicholas Cage plays a wonderful  Dracula in Renfield.   Nicholas    graces Renfield with a vampire depiction for the ages. Unfortunately,  It's a sloppy movie that succeeds and fails to succeed. However, "Renfield" lacks grandeur, poetry, or mystery. There are a lot of scattered "ideas" in there, but none of them really take root. The movie's under...

Gaslight (2023)

Movie review - Gaslight Available on - Disney plus hotstar Parental guidance - Not with family lot's of violence and some f words Review - Gaslight is a decent dark murder mystery thriller that can be watched and tried once. It has no original idea or plot, and the story and scenes are very predictable and routine. The plot twists might surprise you at the end, but they aren't logical. Rahul Dev, Akshay Oberoi, Shishir Sharma, Ashmita Jaggi, and the entire supporting cast were fine and decent in the movie. The screenplay was well written, the pace was fast, and the direction was good. However, The film's saving grace is its climax. As a series, this might have been better. I kept getting the impression that I was watching a shorter version of a longer story because there were too many characters and not enough background information for me to understand where they came from, and many scenes went by way too quickly. People jump to conclusions too quickly at the beginnin...

The story, Fletcher's direction, and the lack of chemistry between Evans and de Armas were all criticized in the film's negative reviews. One Word Review             Casually enjoyable. Quick Review This film was a flat out roller coaster beginning to end, with heart-siphoning action and a grasping storyline that kept me as eager and anxious as ever. The acting in this film was first class, with every entertainer Evans and Ana conveying a champion presentation that rejuvenated their characters in a rea...
