Somebody I Used to Know (2023) #Movie Review
One Word Review One Time Watch Movie
Quick Review
Rated R for brief drug use, graphic nakedness, language, and sexual content. The tired old premise of a high-powered career girl (Ally works in reality television) is repeated in the plot. Ally and her ex-boyfriend Sean go back in time on a trip to her hometown, and she starts to question everything about her life. When she learns that Sean is getting married to Cassidy, who reminds her of the person she used to be, things only get more confusing.
I enjoyed this movie more than I had anticipated. I expected it to be more comedic, but there was drama and a little bit of everything.
I signed up to see "Annie" and "Abed" in a movie together as a community fan, and I was pleased to see that their chemistry still works after all these years.
Fantastic CAST! a great deal of talented actors. Huge admirer of Alison Brie and Dave Franco might succeed as a director in the future, but not as a writer. Terrible in terms of the narrative, dialogue, and character growth.
They should be unbelievable individuals though to have persuaded such a lot of ability to sign on to their venture. Because I adore everyone associated with it, I wanted to love it, but it failed on every level. I hope they burn that script, realize their error, and try again.
The consummation isn't precisely as one would anticipate from a romantic comedy.
