The Kerala Story (2023) Movie Review
The Kerala Story is a Bollywood Hindi-language movie directed by Sudipto Sen and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah. The story of a group of women from Kerala who converted to Islam and joined the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) is the main focus of the plot. The film has drawn criticism for making erroneous claims that thousands of Keralan women were being recruited into ISIS and converted to Islam. Kerala's political parties claim that it supports the Sangh Parivar's agenda.
Adah Sharma, Yogita Bihani, Sonia Balani, and Siddhi Idnani appear in the film. It was delivered on 5 May 2023.
One Word Review Good To Go
Quick Review
The movie is eye-opening. This should be seen by every Indian, regardless of religion or state. Since this film shows reality with regard to Monotheistic Abrahamic religions which just put stock in one God and totally reject individuals having a place with different beliefs.
The film tells real-life stories from countries in the Middle East where ISIS and other terrorist groups operate. The movie doesn't shy away from showing blood and gore, which are things that people and cultures of the desert are used to.
The makers of the movie are being accused of lying and of lacking evidence regarding the claims that 32,000 Kerala women were transported to Syria. However, I would like to inquire of each and every one of those individuals as to whether, even if only one girl endured such a harrowing experience, this fact alone is not sufficient to warrant the production of a film about the girl's life and the reasons she chose this path.
The film has done an outstanding job of raising awareness and preventing similar incidents in the future, which is its primary goal. Because the message is loud and clear: anyone who dreams big, stupid things about the "Afterlife" and chooses the path mentioned in the movie will end up in the same spot as the girl in the movie.
Generally, Sudipto Sen has worked really hard. The movie almost feels like a documentary that was shot in Syria or Afghanistan. The actors were great, especially Adah Sharma, who did a great job and put her "HEAD" on the line to make this movie a success, if I may say so. Therefore, she is deserving of all praise.
At long last, I might want to say that motion pictures are made and delivered consistently. However, to make a film like this which shows bad-to-the-bone realities and tosses these realities on the essence of those individuals who are trying to claim ignorance of such upsetting bits of insight that is going on in Kerala, yet additionally in created nations like US and UK, is acclaim commendable and requires a few serious balls which Sudipto has demonstrated he has.
Few films can shake us to the core and have an impact on our lives that lasts a lifetime. One such film that everyone should see is this one, which is based on a true story. It is eye-opening and reveals a social problem that is frequently overlooked or ignored.
Each actor brings their character to life with sincerity and authenticity, giving outstanding performances. The film's strong message is passed on through its piercing narrating and sensible depiction of the situation that develops.
Everyone should watch this movie because it has a powerful message that will stick with them long after the credits roll. It will make you think differently, make you feel, and motivate you to act and make a difference in the world. Don't pass up this chance to be a part of something that will really have an impact. Go and Watch the movie.
